What This Policy Covers (Plain-English Summary)

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the LinkedWithin website and mobile app. We currently use two strictly necessary cookies: one to keep you logged in, and one to remember your sidebar layout preference. We do not yet use analytics or advertising cookies. When we add them in future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be sought first.

You can control non-essential cookies via your browser settings. A cookie consent banner is planned for when non-essential cookies are introduced. You will be able to withdraw or change your preferences at any time.

1. Introduction

LinkedWithin ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Thrive Strong Group Pty Ltd. This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies when you access or use the LinkedWithin platform, whether through our website or mobile application (together, the "Platform").

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which sets out the full details of how we collect, use and protect personal data. Capitalised terms used here have the same meaning as in our Privacy Policy.

By continuing to browse or use the Platform after this policy has come into effect, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it. Where your jurisdiction requires affirmative consent before non-essential cookies are set, we will collect that consent separately through our cookie preference centre.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files that a website or app places on your device when you visit it. They allow the Platform to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and provide certain functionality. Similar technologies — including pixels, local storage, and mobile advertising identifiers — work in comparable ways.

Advertising & Marketing	Allow us and our advertising partners to deliver advertisements relevant to your interests, limit ad repetition, and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. These cookies may link data across different platforms. Disabled unless you actively consent to this category.

Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions are handled by the respective operating system and are not initiated by our Platform directly.

5. Third-Party Cookies and Services

6. How We Use Data Collected Through Cookies

Data collected through cookies and similar technologies is used for the following purposes:

Operating and securing the Platform, including session management, fraud prevention, and authentication.
Remembering your preferences and settings to provide a personalised experience.
Analysing Platform usage to identify bugs, improve features, and understand user behaviour on an aggregated basis.
Displaying advertisements relevant to your interests, where you have consented to advertising cookies.

We do not sell cookie-derived personal data to third parties. Cookie data may be shared with our service providers where strictly necessary to provide the relevant service (e.g., payment processors, advertising partners where you have consented).

When you first access the LinkedWithin website (and periodically thereafter), you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You may accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category. Your choices will be saved so we do not ask again on every visit.

You can change your preferences at any time by accessing the Cookie Settings link in the footer of our website or within the Settings menu in the mobile app.

Please note that blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies will impair your ability to use core Platform features, including logging in. Browser settings may also need to be adjusted separately for each browser and device you use.

7.3 Mobile Device Controls

On mobile devices, you can manage advertising identifiers through your device's operating system settings:

iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking (disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track") and Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising (enable "Limit Ad Tracking").
Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads (enable "Opt out of Ads Personalisation" or reset your Advertising ID).

7.4 Opt-Out Links for Specific Third-Party Advertising

You may opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the following industry opt-out tools:

Note: Opting out through these tools does not prevent advertising from being shown to you — it means that advertising shown will not be personalised based on your browsing behaviour.

8. EU, UK, and International Compliance

Although LinkedWithin is registered in Australia and operates under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), our Platform is accessible globally and we are committed to meeting the standards of international privacy frameworks where applicable.

8.1 Users in the European Union and European Economic Area

If you access LinkedWithin from the EU or EEA, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for setting cookies:

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for functional, analytics, and advertising cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time via the Cookie Preference Centre.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — we have assessed that our interests in improving Platform security and performance are not overridden by your interests or rights. You may object at any time.
Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)) — for strictly necessary cookies required to provide the service you have requested.

8.2 Users in the United Kingdom

The UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) 2003 apply to UK-based users. We apply the same consent-based approach as described for EU users.

8.3 Users in Other Jurisdictions

Users in Canada (PIPEDA), California (CCPA/CPRA), and other jurisdictions with specific privacy requirements should also refer to our Privacy Policy for information on their specific rights. To the extent cookie data constitutes personal information under applicable law, those rights apply equally.

8.4 Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is currently no agreed industry standard for responding to DNT signals, our Platform does not alter its behaviour in response to a DNT signal. You can use the Cookie Preference Centre to manage your preferences instead.

9. Data Retention

Cookie data is retained for the duration specified in the cookie itself (as shown in Section 4). Where cookie data is processed as personal data and held in our systems (e.g., analytics logs), we apply the data retention periods set out in our Privacy Policy.

When you delete your account, we will remove or anonymise personal data associated with your account, including identifiers linked to advertising cookies, subject to any legal obligations requiring us to retain certain records.

10. Children and Minors

LinkedWithin does not knowingly target advertising at children or direct advertising cookies to users we know to be under 18. Where a parent or guardian creates a dependent profile on behalf of a child through the Platform's family/dependent feature, advertising cookies will not be associated with that dependent profile.

11. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our use of cookies, changes in law, or feedback from users or regulators. When we make material changes, we will:

Display a notice on the Platform or send you a notification where required by law;
Where required, seek fresh consent for any new uses of non-essential cookies.

Your continued use of the Platform after any changes take effect constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated policy, subject to any consent requirements that apply to you.
