Servers, database and Within Drive storage: AWS us-east-1 (Northern Virginia, United States).
One provider, Jina AI, is in Germany; everything else is in the United States.

In the United States, on AWS

LinkedWithin runs on Amazon Web Services in the us-east-1 region, which is Northern Virginia in the United States. That is where our servers, our database and your Within Drive files are. Database backups are kept for a rolling 7 days in the same place.

Run from Australia

LinkedWithin is operated by Thrive Strong Group Pty Ltd, an Australian company based in Canberra. We hold ourselves to the Australian Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles, including the rules for health information, and our practices are built to meet the laws of the places our members live: the EU and UK, the United States, the Gulf states and more.

Yes, your data leaves Australia

If you live outside the United States, your information is transferred internationally. Wherever you are, we stay responsible for it. Our providers work under contracts that limit them to providing their service to us, and for people in the EU and UK we use the recognised transfer safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum). You can ask us for a copy at any time.

Which countries see what

United States: AWS (hosting, the AI model behind AI Within, voice, logs), Deepgram (speech to text), LangSmith (a small sample of ordinary conversations, for debugging), Resend (email), Stripe and RevenueCat (billing), Apple and Google (sign-in, purchases, push notifications).
Germany: Jina AI, which indexes the facts AI Within remembers so it can find them again.

Global providers such as Stripe, Apple and Google also operate in other countries. Who processes your data lists each provider and exactly what it receives.
