Change your email address

Important to know
- Your email address is how you sign in and where every account email goes, so check the spelling before you save.
- An address that already belongs to another LinkedWithin account cannot be used. You will see 'Email already in use'.
- Changing the address on your LinkedWithin profile does not change your Google or Apple account. You can still sign in with that provider.
Your email address is part of your profile, and you can change it yourself whenever you like. It is the address you sign in with and the one we send everything to: sign-in codes, security notices, renewal reminders and the reminders you choose.
On the website
- Open SettingsAccount.
- In the Email field, replace the old address with the new one.
- Choose Save profile. You will see a confirmation that your details are updated across the app.
In the app
- Open Profile and choose Edit next to your account details.
- Replace the address in the E-mail field.
- Choose Save Changes.
From your next sign-in, use the new address with your existing password.
If you see "Email already in use"
Every LinkedWithin account has its own address, so one that belongs to another account cannot be moved. If the other account is yours and you no longer need it, close it first, wait for it to be deleted, and then use the address here. If you think someone else is using your address, email legal@linkedwithin.com.
If you signed in with Google or Apple
Google or Apple sign-in is linked to your account by an identifier, not by the address, so changing the address on your LinkedWithin profile does not change how you sign in. Your Google or Apple account keeps its own address; we only update where we email you.
If you no longer have access to your old inbox
You do not need the old inbox to make this change. Sign in with your password as usual and follow the steps above. If you have lost both the inbox and your password, email legal@linkedwithin.com. We may need to verify that you are the account holder before we can help.
