Family Profiles and a new chapter at 18

What a Family Profile is

A Family Profile is a record you keep about a family member inside your own account. They cannot sign in and have no access, and nothing in the profile is visible to anyone but you. AI Within refers to it only when you ask. LinkedWithin is not a child-monitoring or safeguarding tool, and not a way to keep track of another adult.

A profile for someone under 18

Only the child's parent or legal guardian may create one. When the date of birth is under 18, the form shows "Parent or guardian consent required":

   Type your full legal name as your signature.

We record that consent with the date and Privacy Policy version. Children's information is never used for advertising, profiling or marketing; you can edit or delete it any time.

A new chapter at 18

When a family member turns 18, their profile shows "Ready for their next chapter".

   Open the profile from Family and choose Invite to own account. Confirm they are an adult and the email address is theirs.

   They receive an email with a secure link that works once and expires after 14 days; you can cancel it until then.

   They accept the current Terms and Privacy Policy themselves, confirm their date of birth, and choose:

   • Copy my records — they get their own copy; you keep yours as memories (photos stay with your original).
   • Start fresh — an empty account; you keep the profile.
   • Delete my records — the profile is removed from your account too. This is how they withdraw the consent you gave on their behalf.

Want a file of the records? Choose Export data before they decide. We keep the invitation record — who gave the original consent and when — as evidence, even after Delete.

Profiles for adults

Keep one only with a genuine family reason and, where they can decide for themselves, they know about it. Remove information about a person if they ask and have the right to.
