Sign out everywhere

Important to know
- Signing out on one device does not sign out the others. Sign out on each device you have used, especially shared or borrowed ones.
- If you think someone else has your password, change it straight away. The new password is needed at the next sign-in on any device.
- Closing your account signs you out on every device at once. You have 30 days to reopen it, and everything comes back.
Signing out ends your session on the device you are using. Here is how to do it on each surface, and what to do when a device is not in your hands any more.
On the website
- Choose your photo or initials in the top-right corner to open the account menu.
- Choose Sign out.
In the app
- Open Profile.
- Choose Logout and confirm.
Devices you cannot reach
Signing out on one device does not sign out the others. If a phone is lost, a laptop was borrowed, or you left yourself signed in on a shared computer, do these in order:
- Change your password. On the website, open SettingsAccountSecurity; in the app, open ProfilePassword. If you cannot sign in, reset it from the sign-in screen. Your new password is required the next time anyone signs in on any device.
- Sign out on every device you can reach, using the steps above.
- Tell us at legal@linkedwithin.com if you believe someone used your account without your permission. We will help you check.
Google and Apple accounts have no LinkedWithin password. Review the devices signed in to that Google or Apple account and remove the ones you do not recognise there.
The one-step version
Closing your account signs you out on every device at once and stops any sign-in. It is a heavier tool, but it is reversible: sign in within 30 days, or use the link in the email we send, and choose Reopen. Everything comes back as it was, except a cancelled subscription.
Good habits
Sign out on any computer that is not yours. We do not offer two-factor authentication yet, so use a strong password that you use nowhere else, or sign in with Google or Apple.
