Charged after cancelling

Important to know
- Cancelling never refunds the current period: you keep access until it ends, and the next charge is the one that stops.
- Cancelling in LinkedWithin does not reach an App Store or Google Play subscription, and deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Unused monthly allowances do not carry over to the next month.
A charge after you cancelled is nearly always one of three things. Work through them in order.
1. The renewal happened before the cancellation took effect
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; it does not refund that period. If you cancelled on or after your renewal date, the renewal had already gone through.
- Open SettingsBilling on the website and compare the renewal date with the day you cancelled. The reminder email we sent before the renewal shows the same dates.
- If you did not intend the renewal, tell us within 7 days of the charge at legal@linkedwithin.com, from your account address. If you have not materially used the paid features since, we refund it in full.
2. Your subscription is billed by Apple or Google
If you subscribed in the app, Apple or Google holds the subscription. Cancelling in LinkedWithin, or deleting the app, does not cancel it. It keeps billing until you cancel it in the store:
- iPhone or iPad: Settings › your name (Apple Account) › Subscriptions.
- Android: Play Store app › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
What to do: cancel it there now, then ask the store for a refund (reportaproblem.apple.com or support.google.com/googleplay). We cannot refund a store charge ourselves.
3. You have two subscriptions
If you subscribed on the website and again through a store, both are charged. Please hold one subscription only. Tell us and we will help you cancel the duplicate; a store charge still has to be refunded by the store.
Closing your account
Closing your LinkedWithin account cancels a website subscription automatically. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, so cancel that in the store first or it will keep billing you.
Allowances
Each month's AI messages, voice minutes and download allowance reset on the first day of the calendar month (UTC). What you did not use does not carry over, and you are never charged for going over.
