Important to know
- A failed website payment does not cut you off. You keep full access while your card is retried.
- Update your card in Settings › Billing › Manage subscription. If the payment still cannot be collected, your subscription ends and you move to the Free plan.
If you subscribed on the website
A failed payment does not cut you off. When a charge fails, usually because a card has expired or a bank has blocked it:
- Stripe, our payment provider, retries your card over the following days.
- We email you up to three times asking you to update your card. The first email is a heads-up, the next a reminder, and the last a final notice that your plan is about to end.
- You keep full access to your plan meanwhile.
Fix it in a minute
- Open SettingsBilling.
- Choose Manage subscription. This opens our secure billing portal, where you can update your card.
- Once the retry succeeds, your plan carries on as before.
We never see or store your full card number; the portal is run by Stripe.
If it still cannot be collected
Your subscription ends and you move to the Free plan. Nothing you have created is deleted: your life areas, Feed Within, Family Profiles, AI Within conversations and Within Drive files all stay in your account. AI Within goes back to the Free allowance, and if you have more than 1 GB in Within Drive the storage timeline begins. You can re-subscribe at any time from SettingsBilling.
If you subscribed in the app
Apple or Google takes the payment, so if a store payment fails, the store retries under its own rules and tells you how to fix it. Update your payment details in your Apple Account or Google Play settings. In LinkedWithin, ProfileSubscription & billingManage subscription opens the store's subscriptions page for you.
If you think a payment was wrongly refused or you are stuck, email legal@linkedwithin.com from your account address and we will look into it.
